WEEK 10: 11/17 - 11/23
I have been busier than normal with school and work this week and haven't had a lot of time to engage with media. While I wish I had some free time to scroll on my phone, it has been a nice (forced) break from social media for me. Actually, break isn't the right word. I have still scrolled social media every day, I've just spent less time doing it than I typically do. My days have been packed full, so I have been scrolling on social media at night before I fall asleep. I know a lot of people go down a rabbit hole and end up scrolling for three hours in bed, but I honestly get tired and bored after 15-20 minutes. I am excited to have a break from school next week and have more free time, even though a lot of my "free" time will be spent working on final papers and projects :/ But I will have some extra time to watch a movie here and there and take a break from my normal schedule!
Hi Sydney! Thanks for sharing! I think it is cool that you can see when it is the right time for you to engage in social media or not. I know it might seem obvious why that is important, but I think sometimes it can be harder than it seems. At least for me, I know there are times when I have stuff to get done, but still choose to be on my phone. It definitely takes discipline, so good job!
ReplyDeleteI'm also excited for the break next week (even if it's mostly going to be time spent catching up on papers and projects)! I hope you're still able to have some of that free time and that you're able to be disciplined with your media use! We're so close to the end!
ReplyDeleteI feel this so much! Haha I haven't taken a "break" from social media, but I have also spent less time on it because of the grind of the end of the semester. I am also excited for break, though I feel the same as you. It is going to be my catch up week haha, but it'll be good nonetheless to spend a little more time relaxing or watching a movie to unwind.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for sharing! I think it's so great that you are able to use media as a way to unwind and relax! Positive media use is really great!
